Clean Water for Displaced Communities

Safe Water. Healthier Communities. Greater Dignity.

Access to clean drinking water is one of the most urgent needs facing displaced families in Sudan.

Hatim Altaee Foundation NFP provides clean-water support to refugee and displacement camps where reliable water access is limited or unavailable. Through recurring water deliveries, storage tanks, and community-based water support, the foundation helps families access safe water for drinking, cooking, and basic hygiene.

2026 Clean Water Impact

In 2026, Hatim Altaee Foundation expanded its clean-water relief efforts to four refugee and displacement camps.

4
Camps Reached

Clean drinking water was provided to four camps serving displaced communities.

4
Tanks Per Camp

Each supported camp received four tanks of clean drinking water during each distribution cycle.

4
Distribution Cycles

Recurring distributions helped maintain access to clean drinking water.

4 Distribution Cycles

Water support was provided during:

June 2026
July 2026
September 2026
October 2026

These recurring distributions helped maintain access to clean drinking water during periods when displaced communities faced limited local water resources and difficult seasonal conditions.

How the Program Works

HAF's clean-water program uses practical solutions based on the needs of each community.

Water Deliveries

Clean water is transported directly to displacement communities where reliable wells or municipal water systems are unavailable.

On-Site Water Storage

Large water tanks help communities safely store delivered water and maintain access between distribution periods.

Water Purification Support

Where appropriate, purification solutions help improve the safety and reliability of water available to larger communities.

Why Clean Water Matters

Safe water is essential for everyday life.

Families depend on clean water for:

  • Drinking
  • Preparing food
  • Personal hygiene
  • Caring for children
  • Supporting older adults
  • Reducing exposure to unsafe water sources

For displaced families living in crowded or temporary settlements, dependable water access can have an immediate effect on health, safety, and dignity.

More Than a One-Time Delivery

HAF's clean-water initiative is designed around continued support rather than a single distribution.

The June, July, September, and October 2026 deliveries demonstrate an ongoing commitment to communities facing recurring water shortages.

As needs continue, the foundation will work with local partners and volunteers to identify communities where additional water support can have the greatest impact.
